Built in 1895, the location is the original site of North Salem State itemsBank and the Masonic Lodge. The art gallery located in the Nature Center of this beautiful, 232-acre park displays nature-inspired artwork in both permanent and monthly guest artist displays. Works include woodwork, painting, drawing and photography. The Nature Center also offers free programs, nature resource library, new interpretive exhibits, a bird-watching room and a historical mural depicting the park’s history. The pristine nature park has more than 7.5 miles of trails, a prairie and woodlands and features a recently restored iron-truss bridge over Big Walnut Creek. Located next to the Vandalia Trail in one of the few downtown buildings that survived a 1948 tornado in this small town of Coatesville, the Floral Boutique has been lovingly restored. The works of more than 25 local artisans are on display and available for purchase. Handcrafted wreaths, table and floor florals, swags and more are featured, as well as handcrafted items like polymer clay beaded jewelry, candles, soaps, home decor, purses, sweaters, doll and baby clothes, framed art, painted furniture and more.
